VIEIRAS VIVAS
La vieira (Pecten maximus) se pesca en toda la costa escocesa. Es pescada a mano por buceadores que se sumergen hasta el fondo del mar para cogerlas. Esta es una forma de pesca sostenible y respetuosa que tiene un impacto mínimo en el entorno marino.
Nuestras vieiras no contienen arena y son de alta calidad. Como no sufren stress durante la captura, a menudo pueden sobrevivir 3/4 días o más después de la llegada al destino. Los tamaños principales disponibles son: 1/2 piezas / kg XXL, 2/3 piezas / kg XL, 3/4 piezas / kg L, 4/5 piezas / kg M, 5/7 piezas / kg S.
Las vieiras se embalan en cajas de poliestireno de 5 kg y 10 kg y cada unidad se fija con una banda elástica. También se coloca una bayeta absorbente en el fondo de la caja para absorber el exceso de humedad y una tela o papel especial en la parte superior de la caja para evitar que los gel-packs fríos entren en contacto directo con la vieira.
Exporting live Scottish shellfish daily to France, Spain, Hong Kong and Singapore
MBS Inter Mar Ltd have been exporting live shellfish from Scotland since 1998. Our live products are mainly creel or diver caught in the waters off the West Coast of Scotland. These 2 methods of fishing are internationally recognised as the most responsible way of fishing as it does not affect the surrounding habitat. Once caught, the product is carefully graded and conditioned for transport to ensure that the best quality is received by our customers. For road freight, we have daily dispatches to Boulogne-Sur-Mer, with onward connections to the rest of France and Spain. For air freight, we have two dispatches per day to Hong Kong and Singapore and daily services to Barcelona, Madrid and Oporto. Please note that there is a minimum order of 80kg for air freight orders.
